Alia Al-Senussi
Art Advisory
Alia serves on the Board of Patrons of Art Dubai, the Middle East & North Africa Acquisitions Committee of the Tate Gallery, and the Executive Patrons Committee of the Tate Gallery. She also serves on the Future Contemporaries Committee of the Serpentine Gallery and is co-chair of the Parasol Future Unit. She was previously a director of the Albion Gallery.
She is also the Art Basel Representative for the UK and for the Middle East and North Africa.
She has extensive marketing experience in the Middle East, and has been featured in the media for promoting awareness of, and interest in contemporary art to the region's women.
Alia holds a BA Magna Cum Laude in International Relations (honours) and an MA in Political Science, both from Brown University, and an MSc in Law, Anthropology and Society from the London School of Economics.
Benoît Belhomme
GENERAL COUNSEL
Benoît Belhomme is General Counsel and a business advisor at Generation Three. He specialises in restructuring, corporate and international law and tax planning.
During his 33 years at leading international law firm Clifford Chance, and then as General Counsel at BAT, Benoit has acquired significant multinational strategic corporate experience. He has expertise in managing difficult and complex business and personal cross border issues.
Benoît holds a masters in political science and international business law from the University of Paris - Sorbonne. He is a co-founder and board member of a bilingual School in London. He is a keen tennis player and chairmen of his local tennis club.
Elizabeth Spiess
SENIOR TRUST & COMPANY ADMINISTRATOR
Elizabeth is a Senior Trust and Company Administrator who has many years' experience working for Private Family Offices looking after UHNWI, their families and structures. She has also previously worked for renowned Swiss law firms where she gained specialist knowledge of the legal aspects of Family Office services.
Elizabeth speaks fluent English, German, Afrikaans and French. She is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner, TEP (Dipl ITM), and also holds a PPgD in Private Wealth Advising, a BSc in Management specialising in Trust & Estates and a STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes. She is currently in the process of completing her MSc Law and Private Wealth Advice at The University of Law, London. She also participates in various regulatory programs relating to international and national regulatory law.
At Generation Three, Elizabeth is responsible for Trust and Company Administration.
Lalita Lalvani
Special Projects and Finance
Lalita is the Chief Financial Officer and a client business advisor at Generation Three. Along with her responsibilities for overseeing finance for the Generation Three Group, Lalita advises clients on restructuring, expansion and change management. Prior to joining Generation Three, Lalita was the Finance Director at Antfactory Group, a global investor in early stage technology based companies, where she was primarily responsible for putting in place the financial, risk management, control and administrative processes, policies and procedures for the group.
She was an Investment Executive with 3i Plc, and subsequently a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young Management Consultancy Services in the financial services sector. Lalita has worked both in the UK and emerging markets, in project management and change management. She is also a former Chief Operating Officer with significant experience in private equity, as well advisory experience with large and mid-size corporations, as well as private clients. Lalita is a graduate of the London School of Economics.
Lisa Balcombe
Client Services
Lisa has more than 20 years’ experience in the Services industry. She acquired her global network of resources during her time at Warner Bros Films as a member of their international Advertising and Publicity team. She was responsible for coordinating all marketing and publicity campaigns and organizing film premiers in the major European territories.
Lisa subsequently joined an established family Insurance Claims Consultancy as Claims Manager, handling insurance matters and dealing with claims for overseas clients. Most recently, Lisa set up a single family office with specific responsibility for managing a family’s extensive UK residential property portfolio.
At Generation Three, Lisa is responsible for managing Client Services. She presides over: Lifestyle Services, Administration, Insurance, Risk and Property Management, Immigration and Human Resources.
Mike Betesh
Managing Principal
Mike Betesh is the founder of Generation Three and has comprehensive experience in the financial services industry. After several years at Merrill Lynch in New York, where he worked with UHNWIs in the US and Europe, he moved to the UK to help establish the wealth management business at Ansbacher, managed business development for Dryden Financial across Europe and Asia, and worked with EFG International on developing their UHNW business and marketing proposition.
Mike has extensive experience within business and asset advisory, fiduciary services and family governance. He advises Generation Three clients on how to establish long-lasting governance and succession plans and acts as the generalist risk manager for clients of the group. His knowledge and expertise spans asset protection, charitable foundation management, institutional growth and diversification strategies, transaction structuring, family succession planning and business development advice. Mr Betesh holds a BA in Business and Economics from NSU and has a keen interest in modern and contemporary art. Mike promotes charitable initiatives by advising on expansion and fundraising strategies and acting as a board member for charities and foundations.
Adam Geiger
Chief Investment Officer, New Legacy Generation
Adam Geiger is President and Chief Investment Officer of the New Legacy Group, a multi-disciplinary Registered Investment Advisor. The Group is an SEC registered investment advisory firm that includes investment advisory and other services focused on the needs of families of significant net worth, a fund allocation business, and a direct investment business. The direct investment business includes holdings across multiple sectors including technology, real estate and finance.
Prior to co-founding New Legacy with Joseph Weilgus, Mr. Geiger was Chief Investment Officer of Ivy Asset Management, a leading provider of hedge fund allocation and advisory products and services. During Mr. Geiger's 9½ year tenure, Ivy's assets under management grew from less than $1 billion to more than $16 billion, while the investments staff grew from about one dozen people in two offices to over 45 people in five offices around the world.
Prior to Ivy, Mr. Geiger spent seven years in a senior position on the trading desk at Twenty-First Securities Corp. in New York. As Co-head of Trading, he was responsible for managing several sophisticated investment programs, including a dividend capture strategy, an early form of capital structure arbitrage, two convertible arbitrage strategies and a number of other tax-advantaged trading strategies.
Mr. Geiger began his career in December 1982 at Merrill Lynch in New York City. During the course of his seven years at Merrill, Mr. Geiger developed and executed several sophisticated market-neutral investment strategies for institutional clients. Included among these were dividend capture strategies, index arbitrage and equity options arbitrage.
Mr. Geiger holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany and has been a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of the CFA Institute and New York Society of Securities Analysts since 1994. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Middlebridge School of Narragansett, RI. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of Touro College. He currently resides in Dix Hills, NY with his wife and two daughters.
Bailey Ezell
Assistant Controller, New Legacy Generation
Bailey Ezell, CPA joined the New Legacy Group of Companies as the Assistant Controller in 2018. Prior to joining New Legacy, she worked for 4 years in public accounting with PwC and Deloitte, both on the audit side. Additionally, she worked at Brookfield Property Partners in the corporate accounting group for 18 months.
Bailey graduated with honors from Furman University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She then went on to receive a Masters in Accountancy from Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management, graduating in 2013. Bailey earned her CPA in 2016.
David Friedlander
Analyst, New Legacy Generation
Daniel joined New Legacy in 2018 and is responsible for research and analysis for venture investments. Daniel is originally from Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. Previously, he worked for a family office where he was responsible for investment analysis, trade execution, and back-office functions. Daniel also was responsible for client services by creating each client’s monthly portfolio reports and managing ongoing relationships with prospective fund and investment managers.
Daniel graduated from Yeshiva University in 2012 with a Bachelor in Business Administration, majoring in Business Management.
David Golush
Senior Advisor, New Legacy Generation
David Golush, CPA, joined the New Legacy Group in March 2010. Previously, he was with Geller & Co. as a senior adviser. At Geller, he initially ran the Investment Partnership Services Group then he became adviser to the Geller Family Office Services Group in wealth management.
Prior to his position at Geller, Mr. Golush was a private investor. After September 11th, he became a full-time volunteer while serving as Treasurer for the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. During that period, the Fund raised over $112 million from over 90,000 donors.
From 1988-2000, Mr. Golush was a founding partner at the private equity firm, Hyperion Partners, and its broker-dealer, Ranieri & Co. During that 12-year period, the firm invested over $1 billion in banking, real estate, credit cards, and money management businesses. The combined IRR was in the high teens.
From 1972-1988, Mr. Golush served as a Vice President at Salomon Brothers. He was head of internal audit and helped to establish the Client Wealth Management Business. He was also Administrative Manager of the Mortgage and Real Estate Department. Before Salomon Brothers, Mr. Golush worked in both public and private accounting.
Mr. Golush earned his BBA in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. He has served on the boards of many public and private companies and charities.
Jade Hwa
Client Services Director, New Legacy Generation
Jade joined New Legacy in 2019 as a Director, focusing on client services. Jade also works with New Legacy’s US-China fund investing in advanced manufacturing, AI, IoT, and healthcare startups in the US and Israel.
Prior to joining New Legacy, Jade was the Director of Client Services and Director of Business Development at Euclid, a San Francisco based SaaS company in the retail analytics sector which was acquired by WeWork in 2019. Jade also spent seven years working as a consultant in corporate financial restructuring services in Los Angeles and New York. Jade holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, and is currently based in New York City.
Fun fact: Jade is a freelance writer for the The Daily Mail in the Fashion group.
Joseph Weilgus
Chief Executive Officer, New Legacy Generation
Joseph “Joe” Weilgus, CPA is Chief Executive Officer of the New Legacy Group of Companies, a group of finance and investment businesses.
Mr. Weilgus was President of Geller Holdings, LLC and Managing Director, Client Relations at Geller & Co. Prior to joining Geller, Mr. Weilgus was Director of Client Relations at American Express Tax and Business Services. Before joining American Express he was a Senior Associate with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the audit practice where he earned his CPA.
Mr. Weilgus is Founder and Chairman of Project Sunshine, a multi-national children's non-profit organisation. Mr. Weilgus founded Project Sunshine out of his college dorm room in 1998. Its 18,000 volunteers now serve over 175,000 children a year in 175 cities across the U.S., Canada, Africa, China and the Middle East.
Mr. Weilgus earned a B.S. in Accounting from Yeshiva University. He was an undefeated NCAA tennis player. He is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Project Sunshine and an active member of the Young Presidents Organisation.
Megan Laird
Client Services, New Legacy Generation
Megan joined New Legacy in 2019 and focuses on client services. Prior to joining New Legacy, Megan worked at Tiger Global Management in research and operations. Additionally, she was a Senior Manager at Hillstone Restaurant Group where she focused on finance, internal training programs, and operational logistics.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from Chapman University. She went on to continue her education here in New York at Fordham University, Gabelli School of Business where she earned her Master of Science in International Finance in 2019.
Barry Munitz
Chair of the Advisory Board
Barry Munitz is Chancellor Emeritus of the California State University System, Vice Chair of the Broad Family Education Foundation (TBC), Senior Advisor to the Milken Institute, and President of the Cotsen Foundations for the Art of Teaching and for Academic Research. The late Lloyd Cotsen built and sold Neutrogena – he was also a major arts collector, and Munitz supervised the gift of his ancient Chinese bronze mirrors to the museum in Shanghai. Munitz served as President and CEO of the J. Paul Getty Trust, overseeing the two museums, the Foundation, the Research and the Conservation Institutes, and managing the multi-billion dollar endowment portfolio.
At California State University he led the expansion from 18 to 23 campuses, with student enrolment now reaching over one and a half million, with more than 50,000 employees. As a corporate executive for a decade, he was President of Federated Development, and vice chairman of the publicly held Maxxam Corporation, a natural resources, finance, and real estate holding organisation; currently a co-founder and vice chairman of Rocky Mountain Resources, a materials infrastructure and transportation company.
He was the original (and the only) chair of California’s P-16 Council, a group of education, business, and community leaders charged with developing strategies to improve education from preschool through post-graduate, while also chairing the California Education Round-table. He was a Trustee of the Courtauld Institute in London, a founding board member of Sherry Lansing’s EnCorps board, was a 20 year director at Navient (formerly Sallie Mae), and is newly elected to the Foundation Board of the San Diego Zoo Global. He serves on the Advisory Council for Leeds Equity, on the executive committee of WorkingNation, was a public director of the Sun America Corporation, Kaufman & Broad, and LeapFrog Incorporated, and chaired the board of trustees at Sierra Nevada College and the American Council of Education.
Munitz is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and held the White House seat on the Congressional Higher Education Cost Commission. He was Chancellor of the University of Houston and academic vice president of the University of Illinois system. He was chairman of the Woodrow Wilson Presidents Advisory Council, and he received a Ph.D. in comparative literature from Princeton University, after a Baccalaureate degree at Brooklyn College, and holds honorary degrees from Whittier College, Claremont Graduate University, the California State University, the University of Southern California, Notre Dame, Pepperdine, and the University of Edinburgh.
James Penturn
Advisory Board Member
James Penturn has over 35 years’ experience in merchant banking, real property and strategic advisory services as both a principal and agent. Upon graduation from University of Toronto, Mr Penturn joined a third generation family business in Canada, later becoming its managing partner. In 2009 he emigrated to London and founded a UK-based strategic advisory firm. Mr Penturn joined Mike Betesh in 2010 to help establish Generation Three Family Partners.
In 2014 Mr Penturn helped launch SpectraLegal Finance Limited a leading specialty lender to the UK legal community. Mr Penturn has extensive experience in management, structuring, marketing, sales, syndication of investments, debt instruments and financial structures. Other areas of expertise include real estate, information technology, natural resources and alternative investments. Mr Penturn has advised on the raising of over USD 1B for clients. He has extensive public and private board of directors and advisory committee experience, including active roles in strategy, corporate governance, compensation and audit committees.
Kenny Schachter
Art Advisory
Kenny Schachter has curated contemporary art exhibitions for over 20 years and taught graduate-level art history at NYU's New School for Social Research. He has lectured internationally, been the recipient of a Rockefeller grant, contributed to art books published by Springer and MIT Press, and secured permission to erect Zaha Hadid's first building in the UK on London's Hoxton Square. He deals in impressionist, modern and contemporary art and design, and has exhibited his own artworks internationally, including one-person shows at Sandra Gering Gallery in NY and International 3 in Manchester.

With Generation Three, Zoe assists individuals and families in realizing their potential and being the best versions of themselves. Zoë holds a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Westminster, London.
